Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Podcast Reveals ("Podcast Reveals," "we," "us") collects when you visit podcastreveals.com (the "Site"), including our articles, quizzes and sponsored pages, how we use it, and the choices you have. The Site is operated by [Company Legal Name].
The short version: we don't ask for your name or email to use the Site. Quiz answers are counted anonymously as totals. We use a first-party cookie and the Meta Pixel to measure our advertising, and we pass campaign codes to partners when you click an offer link. You can opt out using the choices in section 7.
Information we collect
Information you give us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message.
Quiz answers. When you take a quiz, each answer you tap, whether you finish, your result type, and whether you click through to the recommended article are recorded only as anonymous counts (for example, "Answer B: +1"). We don't store your IP address, device details, or any identifier alongside quiz answers, and we can't link answers back to you. These counts power the live percentages shown on quiz buttons and our internal reporting.
Information collected automatically.
- Server logs: like most websites, our web server records technical data for each request, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested, referring page, and time. We use this for security, troubleshooting, and basic traffic measurement.
- Campaign and click information: when you arrive from an ad or partner link, the web address may contain campaign codes (such as
utm_source,utm_campaign, or ad-platform click IDs likefbclidorgclid). We store these codes, a random click ID we generate, and your landing page in a first-party cookie (see section 3). - Offer clicks: when you click a link to a sponsor or partner offer, we log the time, the offer, the random click ID, the campaign codes above, the referring page, and your browser type.
- Conversion reports: if you later complete an action on a partner's site, that partner may report back to us the random click ID, the transaction status, a transaction reference, and any commission. Partners don't send us your name, email, or payment details.
How we use information
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site and our editorial content.
- To show aggregate quiz statistics, such as the share of readers who chose each answer.
- To measure which campaigns, articles, and quizzes readers find useful.
- To attribute clicks and conversions for sponsored offers, including earning and reconciling commissions.
- To measure and improve our advertising on platforms such as Meta.
- To respond to messages you send us.
- To comply with law and protect our rights, users, and the Site.
How long we keep information
- Quiz statistics: kept as anonymous totals for as long as they're useful. They contain no personal information.
- Offer click and conversion logs: up to 24 months, for commission reconciliation and fraud prevention.
- Server logs: generally rotated and deleted within about 14 days, unless we need them longer to investigate a security issue.
- Emails you send us: as long as needed to respond and keep reasonable records.
Children
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Your choices and opt-outs
- Global Privacy Control (GPC): if your browser sends a GPC signal, the Site doesn't load the Meta Pixel for you. We treat the signal as a request to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" where applicable law recognizes it.
- Meta ad preferences: manage how Meta uses information for ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.
- Industry opt-outs: you can also use optout.aboutads.info and youradchoices.com.
- Cookies: block or delete cookies in your browser.
- Opt-out request: email privacy@podcastreveals.com with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share."
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and other U.S. states, or the EU/UK, you may have the right to:
- know or access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete your information;
- opt out of "sale," "sharing," or targeted advertising;
- object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- appeal a decision we make about your request;
- not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To make a request, email privacy@podcastreveals.com. Because we don't ask for names or emails to use the Site, we may need details such as the approximate date and time of your visit or the click ID from your browser's pr_trk cookie to find any related records. Authorized agents may submit requests with proof of authorization. EU/UK visitors may also complain to their local data protection authority. Where EU/UK law applies, we rely on legitimate interests (Site operation, security, aggregate measurement) and consent where required (advertising cookies).
Security and international transfers
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted server access, and keeping our data and configuration files outside the public web folder. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. The Site is hosted in the United States, so information may be processed there.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll change the "Last updated" date above. If the changes are material, we'll provide a more prominent notice.
